“When planning for your postpartum, help should not be seen as a luxury, but a necessity. If you can surrender to rest in the first forty days, you will live vibrantly for the next forty years.”

Postpartum Planning

from a Certified Innate Postpartum Care Practitioner

For thousands of years, communities all around the world have honored the postpartum space as one of the most sacred and important times in a woman’s life. The traditions of postpartum care are cross-cultural and have existed as a response to the physiologic changes that occur in our bodies after birth. Dedicating time to re learning and remembering this knowledge before you give birth can transform your ability to not just survive the postpartum time but to thrive in it.

As you near the end of your pregnancy toward the birth of your baby and the fourth trimester, there are a few simple things you can do to prepare for your postpartum time. In our western culture a lot of value is placed on conception and pregnancy, and while fortunately families are taking time and resources to prepare for their baby’s birth, little preparation is given to the birth of the mother. I will assist you in preparation and learning how to care for yourself so you can thrive in your own birth experience.
